George Harrison was the quite one, and his music reflected that nature, with nearly all of his songs being very personal and introspective. The stunning thing about releases like this are that artists of opposing genres are shuffled together, with the common denominator being the music of George Harrison, giving you, perhaps for the very first time, the ability to step outside of your music parameters and hear what other artists sound like, artists you may have passed over, had they had this singular point of reference.Of course for me, the highlights of this album were from Galaxie 500, and from Damon & Naomi [who were once members of Galaxie 500], laying out lazy lush dark emotional takes on two of the most splendid numbers George ever penned ... sadly a cover from Luna, or Dean & Britta are missing, and that truly is a pity.Review by Jenell Kesler
