I rented and copied the two "Night of the Guitar" VHS tapes over 25 years ago — once I realized how amazing they were I went back to purchase them but they were gone.When I put together a rig to digitize VHS tapes 15 years ago they were the first ones I did and I made my own audio CDs from them so that I could listen to them anywhere.Finding the 1989 IRS audio CD available here was like a dream come true as it was a better audio mix than what I had digitized from those two VHS copies. Yes, it is only 70 minutes long but 80 minute CDs were not available in 1989. And yes it would be great if whoever owns the rights to the video and audio recordings would put out multi-disc sets of what I consider to be the greatest guitar-oriented live tour ever.As to complaints about the jam at the end I have never heard 8 guitarists on one stage at one time play so harmoniously, waiting patiently for their turn until the last chorus or two where it did get a bit raucous.BTW both of the VHS tapes have been digitized and uploaded to YouTube, some with fairly high quality audio and video considering the source.
