Guitar Town is a classic early Steve Earle. If you know and love him already you don't need me to tell you his earliest albums are by far his best and this one is even better than the more commercial Copperhead Road. It's 30th anniversary was a few years back now and to commemorate this was released with an early live show which showcases the tracks on Guitar Town and a few more besides including Little Rock n Roller the said Copperhead Road and my fave cover of Bruce Springstein Highway Patrol. Is it worth buying? For the live album most definitely yes. There don't seem to be many early live Steve shows. You can buy Guitar Town singular for not many bucks now and if you haven't got it yet then you should regardless because it's worth every cent. But this live baby included is much rarer and is amazing so it's much more expensive as a double package. Nevertheless to have early live Steve for me anyway is worth paying for and if you haven't got Guitar Town definitely buy it as a double. Never had a chance to be there and see Steve back in the day and therefore this is the next best thing for me. Trust me tho if money is tight it's not money wasted either way.
