Ended up with a 3 piece body but the neck and humbucker routings were all pretty clean. The wiring channels were just like 1/4" (if that?) round holes that become tight quick. There was no routing for the 3-way toggle in the usual spot so I drilled three holes and ended up with a master volume, the 3-way switch, then master tone. My kit was sadly missing a pickguard which I was told would be mailed but 2 months later and it still hasn't showed? This is unfortunate as it is hard to find one without a toggle hole and I ended up using black electrical tape to mask off the hole. I might go back one day and route out the three way enclosure and wiring channel which all fit nicely under the pickguard on a typical explorer. This one flowed nicely with no big problems and my TV yellow paint job just laying out nicely and buffing out really beautifully with no major issues. The weight was great at 7.3 lbs which is always a nice surprise for a guy like me who is aging and paying attention to these things more acutely. Plays great, put a Bootstrap (USA made and great value) HB-90 Meanie (humbucker sized P-90, slightly overwound to around 10K) in the neck position and an Artec vintage humbucker (really like these) in the bridge position. All in all, loved this build so much I bought a nice Epiphone reissue case to house it! 5 stars.
