I was skeptical, having never heard of the brand, but am very happy with what I paid for it ($105). It has a very solid feel to it, nice weight, bridge and everything was already set up, and after a quick tune was ready to go. I am no expert by far, but I am happy with my purchase. Somebody who actually knows more than a dozen chords might want to go for the Fender, but this is perfect for dinking around with in my studio apartment.Sawtooth has a nice looking natural color acoustic with black pick guard and custom graphic I am picking up next for about ninety bucks that, since it's a blonde, I am naming "Betty", and a red mahogany soprano etched ukulele for fifty bucks I'm naming "Cheryl" after the redhead Archie's character Cheryl Blossom. I've always wanted three hot chicks: now I've found my girls, and they're affordable! After playing aroundwith Veronica I feel pretty confident Betty & Cheryl will also be worth the money. And they're SISTERS!!!Area around the neck looked like garbage, and setup was horrid. Couldn't play a note out of the box without setting it up. Neck bent ridiculously while attempting to play, almost like an inflatable guitar. Stay as far away from this as you can. Seriously, it was like someone in 5th grade chop class made this guitar. Back to Amazon it went, and I will never buy a Sawtooth brand guitar again.Awesome and comparable to the Squires. Clean, quiet, has some weight to it, plays well, stays in tune, decent intonation, sounds somewhat like a tele, and I have no choice but to say this guitar is fabulous for the price.I love the neck profile on these Sawtooth electrics but the guitars are plagued by quality control issues. Luckily the neck is good on mine but the electronics are another matter - very sloppy. In fact, the bridge pickup is not functioning, the result of poor soldering. Also, the body of the guitar is abysmal - a large fill patch on the back is clearly visible as well as several scratches and a couple of small dents. The moral - these are hit or miss. If you're lucky, you'll get a good guitar for a great price. If not.... I should also mention, I received the guitar only - not the ChromaCast gigbag and accessories as advertised.
