Well, its official, Ghostfire is making awesome gig bags.The production quality is great. There are no missed stitches, screwy zippers, or seemingly flimsy materials. A satin nylon fabric is on the outside, and there are a couple patches of it on the inside, so the "bridge area" and "head area" don't snag on strings or screws. The neck support is movable and has a generous cover strap to hold the neck in place. The handle is a big puffy foam filled tube. It is easy to grip and fits well in your hand. If I were to add one little detail, I'd put a small stiff bar in the center of the handle to keep the center flat. It's a decent handle, but with the weight of a guitar it does curve around your hand a bit. It would be a tad more comfortable if it stayed flat.Backpack straps are no removable but there is a large pocket to tuck them in. In thirty years of playing, I personally have never used the backpack feature on any gig bag. I know that some do, so being able to tuck them away is a nice compromise. With some bags you have to just tighten the straps up and then tie up the loose ends of the adjustment straps. The pocket is a better solution.The size is great. If it isn't great for you there are two removable padded spacers included. One at the body end, one at the head. The padding on the case is awesome. It is thick, stiff, and holds shape well. I wouldn't trust it to protect my guitar from the baggage handlers at the airport... but I would feel confident that the guitar would survive being loaded into the gig van by other bandmates. Well, except the drummer... it's always the drummer....This case gives the (alli)Gator gig bags a run for their money. I have both, and Ghostfire... I think you're the winner.Good quality, great protection, well thought out features, nice materials... that makes an awesome gig bag.
