There's no way to attach any kind of string retainer. Nearly all of the headless guitar string retainers on Amazon require a flat top, not the swoosh that this has. The few that don't sit up too high so the strings would be over the top of the nut. Also the nut is cut too high, as the other reviewer stated so you can't use the zero fret.There was also a fair amount of gunk on the fret board. The fret ends need dressing but aren't terribly sharp, but they're not at all polished.Also the neck has binding, which is not what the advertisement shows, and is a problem for my application as I needed to trim the bottom of the fretboard a bit.
